Adopt-a-Family or Child for the 2023 Holidays

With the holidays coming up, many families are worried about how they are going to provide a traditional holiday experience to their children in the face of economic uncertainty. And Savio families are no different.

Savio families are working hard on their mental and behavioral health and strengthening their family relationships.  Often, they are from low-income households and cannot provide their children with holiday gifts. 

Your generosity can help families connect and celebrate the holiday season together. Support from donors like you has allowed Savio families to provide an essential childhood experience despite facing immense challenges. By selecting a wish list through the adopt a family program, you bring holiday cheer to a child’s life.

Families in Savio’s Adopt-A-Family program

Last year you, and our community, supported 250 Savio families. One of these families was Trisha’s.

Trisha was stressed about how she was going to provide her two children with holiday presents. Her car had recently broken down, and she had spent all her savings on the repairs. She didn’t want to admit that she might not be able to give her children a traditional holiday experience, it made her feel like she was a bad mother.

When the family’s social worker told Trisha about Savio’s adopt a family program, she filled out wish lists for her children immediately. And when her daughters opened their presents, she burst into tears.

Fill out the interest form below to be paired with a family or child in need. Once you are matched with a list, you will begin your holiday shopping, with items to be dropped off or delivered to Savio between December 10th and 16th

Savio’s holiday program is anonymous. Donors and families do not meet.

This program is only available to families enrolled in Savio’s services.

We begin collecting family wish lists in early November and run the program through mid-December. Families are submitting lists up until the deadline, so if there are currently no profiles available, there may be more soon.

You can also make a cash donation, which will be pooled towards larger requests or allow a volunteer to shop for last-minute requests!
