Education and Day Treatment Programs - Savio School

The Savio School is an on-grounds educational program approved by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) and accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement. The program operates year round and offers services five days per week, with a weekly total of 30 hours. The program provides special education services, a combination of individualized and group activities, computer skills, and work toward GED or high school diploma. The program prepares youth for reintegration into public schools or alternatives, and supports post-secondary enrollment. The capacity to provide copies of transcripts, diplomas, IEPs, and GED "pretests scores" upon request and at the time of discharge from the program is required.

Education counselors are assigned to the classrooms to assist with behavior management and academic instructional activities. School social workers act as liaisons between families and the school. They also work closely with teachers and education counselors to implement clinical interventions for students who are struggling in the classroom.
